How can I find out how to program my TI-86 graphing calc? I have an old graphing calculator where you can type in codings for your own programs on the calculator. I want to know where I can learn how to do this. I think the language is C or C++, but when I use those languages it wont work. Can anyone help me out?

How do you program formulas on the TI-86? I want to put formulas on the TI 86 such as the midpoint formula but I am confused can you link up the TI-86 to the computer and download formulas such as the area of a circle etc.

What do i do to get the programs to run? I have an TI-86 and i have downloaded the program TI connect for my mac. I download programs from sites such as ticalc.org and i put the programs on my calculator. The programs will show up in the programs menu in my calculator but i try to run them and they say error 07 syntax or error 10 Data type. the syntax one doesn't let me do anything and the data type just highlights the first arrow.

Where can I rent a TI 83+ are other graphing calculator rentals available too like the TI-84, TI-86, or TI-89? Does anyone know about any Texas Instruments graphing calculator rentals available and has any one rented one of these before? My professor said I could rent a TI-83+ online but he doesn't know exactly where and I dont either... Also, if you ask your professor for your school code, you'll be able to rent a TI-83+ with $4.00 here's the link I believe they also have other models for rent. I hope I answered your question."

help with a ti-86? i just bought this and didnt realize that it says it doesnt work for a ti-86 on windows i just want to know if there is an easy way to transfer programs from my computer to it and please explain to me how to do it... in detail if possible. cuz i've tried the program that is on the CD that comes with the connectivity kit and it doesn't work. and i've tried other programs i found. just please, someone help :/ i need this to work very soon.

PAULSC replied: "The product you linked works with most modern (and many not-so-modern) versions of Windows: TI-GRAPH link software is primarily useful with TI-82 or TI-85, but TI Connect should work fine with a TI-86: Make sure you are using TI Connect, from the installation CD!"

K-Dub replied: "The ">" and "<" (and similar symbols) can be found under the "TEST" menu, which based on the picture at wikipedia, is [2nd] [2]. Since I do not have a TI-86, I cannot tell you exactly how it works. However, I have a TI-81 and TI-92, and here are the outputs from those two: In: 5>3 TI-81: 1 TI-92: true In: 5<3 TI-81: 0 TI-92: false Hope this helps."
